Report Environmental Education Needs Analysis

The report, “Environmental Education in Schools: Comparative Curriculum Analysis and Needs Assessment,” analyses curricula, surveys from partner institutions, and focus group discussions with students and teachers in France, Spain, Lithuania, Romania, and Türkiye.

The study highlights both strengths and gaps in existing approaches to environmental education. In particular, it identifies the need for more project-based learning, interdisciplinary teaching, digital environmental tools, and stronger links between environmental knowledge and real-world action.

The results provide the foundation for developing a new Environmental Protection and Sustainability curriculum, which will support teachers and schools in strengthening environmental literacy among students.
